Treasure Coat Angler Online Magazine and Y-B Normal Fishing Charters would like to welcome the Florida Flats Fishing Association as the sponsor of our next episode of TCA TV. TCA met Captain Jeff Brauer via Facebook through a mutual friend, a meeting was set and before you know it we were on the water watching Snook, Trout and Redfish crush top water lures like they were going out of style.
On Friday, June 8th we were invited to the Captains meeting at Riverside Cafe in Vero Beach, Florida. That was my first trip to Riverside Cafe. I was so impressed that I brought my wife with me, for the weigh in on Saturday, because I knew that even SHE would like it…
!! I started fishing Bass tournaments with Dad, as a kid, and have been to a couple of cool weigh ins but I’ve never seen a set up as perfect for it, right on the Indian River, as Riverside Cafe.

The fishing on Saturday was phenomenal. The top water bite was on! As a result, we were able to capture some of our best fishing footage, to date. Click the play button, on the video to the left, and you’ll see what I mean. A big thanks to Captain Mark Dravo of Y-B Normal Fishing Charters for taking us along for the ride.
Flats Fishing Tournaments With FLFA
The next episode of TCA TV will feature pictures and video of the events of both Friday and Saturday so we’re not going to go into great detail in regards to that. What I would like to point out, as I witnessed it, is the professionalism and organization behind this event sponsored by the Florida Flats Fishing Association.
As a local business owner I understand the importance of connecting with other business people who share the same work ethic and commitment to their word. In other words, it’s much easier to work with people who are there when they say they are going to be there. Working with Captain Jeff Brauer has been exactly like that. Every meeting, every time he has given us his word he has stood by it and followed through. That speak volumes to me! As someone who was involved with tournament fishing, years ago, having a leader who is true to their word in business is the same person I would like to see as the leader of an organization like the FLFA.
I’ve become a big fan of flats fishing over the years and am happy to have an organization like the Florida Flatsfishing Association to share with all anglers along the Treasure Coat of Florida and around the world!
